FXConferences FAQ

What is an audio conference?
FXConferences audio conferences are much like a large conference call in which the speaker makes a presentation over the phone.

As a participant, you simply dial a toll-free number (regular phone number outside of Canada or the United States) from your phone, enter your personal access code and you are connected! You then sit back and listen to the presentations and join in the lively question-and-answer discussion that follows.

How many people can attend?
As many can attend as you want. With an audio conference the charge is per phone line, not per person. This offers a number of advantages over conventional meetings.

How do calls work?
You register for an audio conference right here, on FXconferences website. After signing up for a conference, you receive a confirmation email that contains the call-in number, personal access code and the presentation materials link. Share this information with the other people who will be on the line with you.

On the day of the audio conference, 10 minutes before the start of the program, you will call into the number that was provided to you and enter your personal access code.

Prior to the conference, you can submit questions via email or during the conference ask live questions at the end of the presentation.

Within the audio conference materials, you will get a link with an evaluation form to fill in and return to FXConferences.

How long is each audio conference?
As a busy professional, you will be glad to know that we designed these program with you in mind. Most audio conferences are one hour in length. Each session is scripted for an audio format and engages the listener in a lively discussion.

If you cannot attend a particular audio conference, purchasing a recording allows you to listen to the presentation at your convenience.

Can you explain what the different purchase options mean?
A)  Register to attend – If you want to dial in to the live audio conference, listen to the speaker's presentation and ask questions, then select this option. You will receive an email with the dial-in information shortly after placing your order, including instructions for downloading the speaker's slides 24 hours before the conference.

B)  Recording (via Download) – Select this option if you do not want to attend the live audio conference, but would like to be able to listen to the conference recording after. We will send you a link to the recording, which includes the Q&A, 1-2 business days after the event. You can download it to your computer to listen at your leisure or share with colleagues. You will also be able to download the speaker’s slides.

C)  Recording (CD package) – This option is similar to the recording download, except that instead of downloading the recording from our website, you will receive a CD package in the mail 2-3 weeks after the audio conference. The package will contain both the audio recording and the speaker’s slides. This option is only available to customers in the US and Canada.

D)  Registration plus recording (via download) – Includes options A and B, and costs slightly less than purchasing the two items separately.

E)  Registration plus recording (CD package) – Includes options A and B, and costs slightly less than purchasing the two items separately. This option is only available to customers in the US and Canada.

What is a transcript?
The transcript is a written record of the conference proceedings, including Q&A

When and how will I receive my transcript?
Transcripts are delivered via email within 10 business days of the audio conference. If you are ordering a transcript of a past event, delivery times may be shorter.

Why choose audio conferences rather then webcasts?
Bottom line, convenience. Not everyone always has access to the internet, whether it be from traveling, to working from home. As well using telephone lines allows multiple listeners to attend without multiple purchases.
