About the speaker:
Christopher Rhodes, PhD, JD is an intellectual property attorney with Lowrie, Lando & Anastasi LLP. He has assisted a wide variety of entities, ranging from start-up companies to multi-national corporations, in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property. Chris has more than 10 years of experience in all aspects of intellectual property, including patent prosecution and counseling in chemical, optical, physical, biochemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnical areas. He has particular expertise in chemical and analytical instrumentation, magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, therapeutics, clinical diagnostics, fuel cells, bio-separations, toxin detection, optical technologies including thin film optical filters, nanomaterials, medical devices, surgical techniques, and materials used in assembly and processing of electrical devices such as solar cells.
Chris graduated cum laude with a BS in Chemistry from Roanoke College, earned a PhD in chemistry from the University of Virginia, and received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, with an Intellectual Property Concentration, with distinction.
