Audio conference highlights
Regulatory agencies continue to support the use of biomarkers and encourage biotech and pharmaceutical companies to have a biomarker strategy for all compounds. Biomarkers can play a significant role in identifying signal in early compound candidates as well as clinical targeting and stratification of efficacious populations.
We’ll examine proteomics' role in the identification of novel protein biomarkers and subsequent high throughput assay development, and validation that can significantly reduce risk and enhance clinical development productivity and decision making in Pharmaceutical research.
This audio conference covers:
- Issues in personalized medicine
- Biomarkers in drug development
- Proteomics in drug development
- MRM assays and alternative to ELISA assays
- Demonstrations of how MRM assays can easily be customized and multiplexed
About the speaker:
Dr. Daniel Chelsky brings to Caprion Proteomics deep industrial experience in applying the CellCarta® proteomics platform to drug target and biomarker discovery.
Prior to joining the Company, Dan was President and General Manager of BioSignal Packard Inc. (a division of Perkin Elmer), where he oversaw the development of novel technologies and reagents for drug discovery and genomics research, including the AlphaScreenTM and BRET2TM technologies and product lines. He also spent five years at Pharmacopeia as Senior Director of Biology.
Dr. Chelsky received his B.Sc. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University Of Oregon Institute of Molecular Biology and was an American Cancer Society fellow at the University of California at Berkeley.
