QA Oversight of Contract Manufacturers

Audio conference highlights

Managing contractors is key to successful operations. As companies continue to outsource processes, the quality agreement becomes critical to supply chain operations. Quality agreements are required by the EU GMPs and are recommended per the International Conference on Harmonization's (ICH) Q10, known as Pharmaceutical Quality System.

This audio conference discusses what a quality agreement is and how to use it as a tool in managing your contractors. It also identifies the key elements of what to include in the quality agreement so that if something goes wrong, responsibilities have been clearly delineated and corrective action can proceed smoothly.

This audio conference covers:

  • The challenges of managing contractors
  • What is a quality agreement
  • How to succeed in managing contractors
  • What to include in a quality agreement
  • How to negotiate and monitor the quality agreement

Good presentation, maybe a real example would be beneficial.

The visual presentation was very good. Concise and to the point. We are a small fish in the big pond with several oversea suppliers, the point of performing a risk assessment will assist us in demonstrating the infrequent formal audits. We are currently, updating our Supplier Qualification SOP and there are some points that were brought out in the presentation that will be added to the revision.

A good event. Marion was very clear and came over well and with confidence. I liked the opportunity at the end for a live interaction. I am based in the EU so an FDA apparoch to the Quality Agreement topic was very interesting and I agree with Marion, that this is where regulators and auditors are moving a focus to.

Manager, Quality Assurance
Timely information for our QA development and systems improvement. We have ordered the transcript to get the most out of the presentation. Warning letter detail/discussion was very pertinent.
