About the speaker:
Federico Fische is an economist with over thirty years of combined experience as an international trade negotiator, a consultant on renewable energy and sustainable development, and a renewable energy entrepreneur. As a practitioner and entrepreneur, his expertise is centered on the identification of opportunities and development of energy projects in Central America, appraisal of economic and financial feasibility of renewable energy projects and alternative energy start-up companies, and life-cycle assessments of technologies and concept solutions as they pertain to a particular project or need. He also developed and ran the sustainable development practice for a small consulting firm for ten years – primarily working on sustainability issues for public and private sector clients, socio-environmental assessments; policy and regulatory design for protected areas – and researched the linkages between poverty, energy and the environment.
